Wish Book Press publishes books of general interest including biography, genealogy, history, inspirational, and poetry, etc. Frances Myers Schmetzer's first book, "Musings of an Oldtimer" is a collection of newspaper columns of the same name. They were reprinted by request to be used as a fund raiser for the West Virginia State Folk Festival. Musings of an Oldtimer is a collection of over 300 weekly newspaper columns covering a variety of subjects of personal interest to the author and extremely interesting to others. The columns were first published in "The Glenville Democrat/Pathfinder" newspapers in Glenville West Virginia, home of the West Virginia State Folk Festival. The festival, customs, Glenville, farm living, escaping fires in both California and Virginia, saving historical landmarks, and much more are covered. Illustrated with some photographs.
